Round curvilinear tooth profile increases the distribution of tension on the timing belt allowing significantly higher horesepower ratings. Because of their round teeth HTD timing belts mesh accurately with their associated pulley grooves to eliminate belt slippage and speed variations. HTD belt drives are 99% efficient compared to standard sychronous belt drives.
