Double Row Angular Contact Bearings – Shielded (ZZ) TRITAN Double Row Angular Contact Bearings are similar in design to two single row angular contact bearings mounted together, but require less axial space. This versatile design can accommodate radial loads as well as axial loads acting in both directions. ~~ These bearings are produced with high quality 52100 bearing steel and hardened to provide durability and long life. The Conrad design, which some manufacturers represent with and “A” or “B” suffix, has an optimized design and does not include a loading slot (commonly represented with an “E” suffix). This design has widespread applicability and high radial & axial load capacity. These 5200 / 5300 series bearings have the same basic design as, and are interchangeable with, 3200A and 3300A series bearings from European manufacturers ~~ The bearings are lubricated for life with a high quality multipurpose PRX grease and have metal shields (ZZ) to both retain lubricant and protect the bearing from contaminants. Shields provide protection without contact with the inner ring, and can operate in applications where the friction from contact seals would reduce performance, or where temperature prevents the use of a seal.
