CBT partner, Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems recently announced a new line of Watertight Wiring Condition Plugs and Connectors combining high-performance features that optimize safety and productivity during the power-delivery process.
A translucent, over-mold elastomer helps installers easily see the LED indicators embedded inside the devices. These LED lights provide an easily interpreted visual indicator of miswiring:
Green = correct power and wiring (okay)
Red = incorrect power and wiring (check device)
Off = no power
To make washdown easier, this enhanced line of Watertight Wiring Condition Plugs and Connectors features a smoother body that reduces the opportunity for debris buildup. Elastomer cone seals can be adjusted to fit a variety of cord sizes to prevent dirt, debris, mold, and water from collecting at cable entrances. The cone seal also provides additional strain relief. These new plugs can deliver power in the harshest environments, including factories, food and beverage plants, agriculture, construction, and extreme outdoor environments. Hubbell’s Watertight Wiring Condition Plugs and Connectors are UL 498 listed, NSF and CSA C22.2 No. 42 certified, and IP69K rated to perform despite mud, standing water, frequent use, and temperature fluctuations. Plugs and connectors are protected by chemicals or abuse with impact resistant TPE housing and PBT nuts.
