LOCKOUT-TAGOUT Rockwell Automation ESC takes time to understand each company’s individual needs before creating a customer Lockout-Tagout solution or building upon what is already implemented to deliver both safety and efficiency.

5 Components of ESC:

  1. Corporate Policy-The brains of the program that will help keep everyone in check and establish rules that the company wants followed
  2. Machine Specific Procedures- Lockout-Tagout Procedures must be developed for every piece of equipment.
  3. Auditing Schedule- All procedures and authorized employees must be audited on at least a 12-month cycle to ensure program integrity
  4. Locks, tags, and devices- Exclusively dedicated to controlling hazardous energy, and must be available as needed
  5. Training- Must be provided to every person applying locks in the facility as well as others who are in the general vicinity
