Personal protective equipment, or PPE, is worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. PPE may include gloves, safety glasses and shoes, earplugs or muffs, hard hats, respirators, coveralls, vests, and full-body suits. However the effectiveness of protective clothing can wear down with use and time. We offer guidance testing services to help you get the most out of your safety gear.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, “exposure to harmful substances or environments” is the fourth leading cause of workplace fatalities.
According to OSHA guidelines, gloves must be tested before the first use and every six months after. We offer a comprehensive glove testing program and recommend two sets of different colored gloves for each person to easily track which gloves are expired and which are compliant. Additionally, OSHA requires evidence of the last testing date, including a stamp on the gloves and paperwork to prove compliance.
